Rene Marie Russo was an American actress, director and supermodel. Known for her elegant beauty her long-standing presence in the demanding film industry shows her skills and talent as a performer. Young model she started in the 70s. Her popularity quickly grew within the world of modeling. She studied theatre and acting at the start of the decade, before starring on stage shows at Los Angeles, and other regions of California. Russo debuted on screen in ABCs Sable drama series in 1987, playing Eden Kendell. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest two years later in Major League, her debut film. She was initially doubtful about her ability as an actor but the critics became confident after her steady performances. Invicta Fighting Championships were her debut professional bout. When she was 18, she had already won two bouts via submission. Dana White, who was following her closely at the time, signed her into the UFC strawweight division for the month of December in 2014. Rose had just turned 22. The career of Rose has been full of highs as well as lows, yet she is always able to come out of the fight with a win. Rose fought Carla Esparza on April 15 of 2015 to win the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by a technical knockout within less than three minutes of Round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was awarded Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA history by winning this fight as she became the first woman to challenge for a champion title in an organization that is a major one. After this win, Namajunas went onto have several more successful fights including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC after these wins .
